Gulder Ultimate search was premiered almost two decades ago, the reality show started way back in 2004 and was on for eleven consecutive seasons until 2014 when it went on a long break.
After their seven years break, the organizers of Gulder ultimate search announced that the show would be returning on air
The Gulder Ultimate Search organizers revealed that the show would house 18 contestants who will compete for 9 weeks in the jungle to become the ultimate champion and go home with over 50 million worth of prizes.
On Saturday 9th of October, the organizers of Gulder Ultimate Search announced in an instagram video that the host for the 12th season of Gulder Ultimate Search is non other than social media sensation, Toke Makinwa.
The Instagram video read;

Toke Makinwa after being unveiled as the Gulder Ultimate Search host also took to Instagram to announce that she has been picked as the show’s new host.

My name is Toke Makinwa. I am the anchor of the Gulder Ultimate Search – The Age of Craftmanship. Now let the adventures begin.

viewers were however not pleased with Gulder Ultimate Search’s decision to make Toke Makinwa the show host. A handful of nitzens took to social media to condemn their decision and opined that the organizers could have come up with a better choice of host.

Gulder Ultimate show viewers has agreed that Toke Makinwa is too fancy to host a show like that and that the organizers could have picked someone perhaps more experienced and exposed in outdoor stuffs.
They pointed out that it would have been more sensible to use perhaps a fitness instructor or a sports person as Gulder Ultimate Search host.
Many opined that Toke Makinwa does not have the physical look and the fierce attitude to host Gulder Ultimate Search.
Toke Makinwa in her usual manner hasn’t failed to clap back at those criticizing her hosting skills on Gulder Ultimate Search. The on air personality has dragged whoever comes for her personally on her social media pages. To Toke Makinwa, those criticizing Gulder Ultimate search for picking her as a host are just jealous and bitter and so have refused to see the good in her efforts.
