“As at 2015 a bag of rice was 8k, Buhari has wrecked Nigeria”

Former presidential aide and motivational speaker, Reno Omokri has come at Nigeria’s President again.

Reno in an instagram post has criticized his Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari for lavishing money on his son’s wedding some months ago. According to Reno, Buhari despite the economic condition of the country was able to splurge money on his sons wedding and continue his international borrowing habits months later.

Reno also alleged that the president came into office a poor man as at 2015 and after about 5 years in office has amassed immeasurable wealth to the detriment of the country.

On his son’s wedding 100 private jets landed in Kano. Millions of dollars were spent. The couple were put on the front cover of Britain’s Tatler Magazine. And now the bambiala wants to borrow an additional $4 billion and €708 million in our name. This was a man who could not afford his APC Presidential nomination form in 2014. Now Nigerians, who were rich in 2015, are now extremely poor, and Buhari, who was poor in 2014, is now extremely rich. What kind of destiny switch is this? 

Reno Omokri then went ahead to give a little break down of prices of notable commodities before Buhari took over government.

In 2015:

- Fuel was ₦87

- 50kg bag of rice was ₦8000

- $1 was ₦150 (₦199 in 2015)

- Lagos-Abuja air fare was ₦10,000

- Bottle of Coke was ₦60

- Peak milk was ₦80

Today, can Nigerians even eat? The poor cant sleep because they are hungry and the rich can’t sleep because the poor are awake and you want me to keep quiet while bambiala Buhari destroys my country? Who is safe in Nigeria today? Are you?
