Darek Chauvin convicted for killing George Floyd
His Royal Highness, Duke of Edinburgh and beloved husband of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, has died at the age of 99. He currently serves as the longest consort of any British monarch.
The tragic news of his death was announced at Buckingham Palace in a statement on Friday morning. He was said to have passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle.
According to the statement released, Prince Philip died at the age of 99. It reads below:
It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss. Further announcements will be made in due course.

Prince Philip married Princess Elizabeth in 1947, after which she became a queen five years later.
He is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
