The General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has made his voice heard over the brutal killing of Omozuwa Vera Uwaila, a 100 level undergraduate of University of Benin.
Through his official twitter handle @PastorEAAdeboye, the General Overseer strongly condemned the rape and killing of the 22-year-old student which occured in one of the church's branch in Benin, Edo State.

Late Omozuwa Vera Uwaila
He twitted:
All I can do at this time is to pray for the family of Omozuwa and do everything possible working with relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. I and members of my Family condemn this act strongly and urge everyone to stay calm as we are already looking into the matter and cooperating with the police to establish the facts of the shocking incident. #justiceforuwa.
He implored Nigerians to stay calm and pray for the family of the deceased while also calling for justice over the unfortunate incidence. He further revealed that contacts had been made with relevant authorities in an attempt to bring the culprits to book over this condemnable act.
Meanwhile, Nigerians reacted to Pastor Adeboye's tweet, expressing their prayers and support towards the family of the deceased. They also prayed that justice will prevail.
