Davido gifts Ayefele bundles of N1,000 notes
Dolors Sala Carrio, the mother of Manchester City's manager, Pep Guardiola has died at age 82 after contracting coronavirus.
Guardiola's mother was diagnosed with COVID-19 after she showed symptoms of the virus in her resident of Manresa, Barcelona in Spain; a country badly hit by the dreaded coronavirus.
Manchester City released a statement on Monday afternoon announcing her painful exit. The statement reads below:
The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrio in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting coronavirus. She was 82-years-old.
Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.
Before his mom's death, Guardiola had shown philanthropic actions towards the fight against coronavirus. To this end, he donated one million euros (£918,000) to a Barcelona-based charity against the contagious air-borne COVID-19 disease.
May the soul of Dolors Sala Carrio rest in peace.
