The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has appointed the recently dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II into the board of Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA).

The appointment was announced on Tuesday by the media and publicity spokesperson to the governor, Muyiwa Adekeye. It comes in less than 24 hours after Emir Sanusi was dethroned by the Kano State Governor, Ganduje, for various breach of conduct.

The appointment statement reads thus:

Malam Nasir El-Rufai has appointed His Highness, Muhammad Sanusi II into the board of KADIPA. The appointment is part of the reconstitution of the board of KADIPA, which is statutorily chaired by the Deputy Governor, and has as internal members senior officials of the Kaduna State Government.

Governor El-Rufai is of the opinion that Kaduna State will benefit from the highly profiled, experienced and intellectually sound expert (Sanusi) who is also highly networked. Recall that Sanusi was the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
