PANDEMONIUM IN NIGER STATE AFTER BANDIT ATTACK
Two robbers met their waterloo after stealing from a retired soldier but were eventually shot, according to reports.
It was three armed robbers who stormed the house of a retired soldier at Akamson street, Egbeda, Lagos. The armed robbers were reported to have gained entrance into the target's house but ended up being shot by the target (ex-soldier) while one narrowly escaped.
It was gathered that the robbers had scaled over the fence at about 1:20 AM without any knowledge that the house belongs to a retired soldier whose wife had recently given birth.
As soon as they gained entrance into the living room, they requested for money, phones, jewelries and other accessories which were used by the soldier’s wife on the naming ceremony of her newly born just some days ago. They were given all that was requested without any hesitation.
However, it was the lustful desires of the robbers that brought about their nemesis as they attempted to sleep with the ex-soldier’s wife.
The retired soldier made the following statements:
After they said they will sleep with my wife, I told them I still have some cash and jewelries which I could still give them so that they won't sleep with her. They allowed me to go inside my room without been accompanied. I had initially noticed they had fake guns, except for one who was with a machet.
I went in and brought out my gun instead of the cash they wanted. I had to protect my family by shooting at them, but luckily one escaped.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Public Relation Officer (PRO) said their team were already at the scene of events and the victims were taken away.
