Self acclaimed mommy of Lagos Bobrisky accused of owing over N6m by jeweler
Legendary Nigerian Highlife Musician, Victor Olaiya has passed on. He died at the age of 89.The incident occured at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on Wednesday.
The Managing Director of Evergreen Music Company Ltd, Bimbo Esho said:
This untimely incident happened at LUTH Lagos State at exactly 12noon today, Wednesday 12th of February, 2020.
We pray that the Doyen of highlife music find repose with the creator while wishing the family and entire music community the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. And to my name sake Abimbola Olaiya, I will miss your contribution to HIGHLIFE MUSIC.
Dr Victor Abimbola Olaiya was 89 years of age on December 31st, 2019.

Victor Olaiya was born on December 31, 1930 to Alfred Omolona Olaiya and Bathsheba Owolabi Motajo in Cross River State. His parents are natives of Ijesha-Ishu in Ekiti State.
Victor was born into a wealthy family. He is the 20th child out of a family of 24. His father owns the Ilọijọs Bar, a house located at Bamgbose Street, Lagos Island. The house was demolished on 11 September 2016.
Victor Olaiya mastered how to play the Bombardon and the French Horn at an early age. After he passed the school certificate examination in 1951, he was accepted by Howard University, America to study civil engineering. Rather than study the course of admission, he pursued a career as a musician, where he carved a nitch for himself, becoming a Nigerian Musical Legend in the process.
