The Nigerian Police (NP) is one of the recognized security agencies in the Nation. The are uniquely identified with their uniforms which is characteristically black in color.

The Nigerian Police will typically wear a black top on a black trousers coupled with black beret and boots. They appear this way even on a very hot day. The uniforms had been changed in recent times but they often still wear the all black uniforms.

The job of the Nigerian Police can be quite difficult and one attribute to this could be due to the salaries they earn and the type of weapon they wield.

The Nigerian Police are known to dedicatedly carry out their job when they are serious about it. They are also very hard-working to this effect.

Unfortunately, some of these police men and women collect bribe from motorist for reasons best known to them. The ironic part of this is the fact that they do it in broad daylight when the civilians are watching. Meanwhile, others end up sleeping on duty.

Finally, the Nigeria police is willing to dedicate his or her life in service if the need arises. They are often patriotic to the Nation.
