The National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) members who had been receiving N19,800 will commence earning their new minimum wage @ N30,000.

On Tuesday, 28th of January, some of the corp members were able to validate their payment for the new minimum wage. Many have also taken to various social media platforms to express excitement on the new implementation.

Recall that he Federal Government of Nigeria had signed the minimum wage into law since the early phase 2019, but it was yet to be captured in the 2019 annual budget.

NYSC - Members

This new implementation is a joyous news for the corp members. This singular act from the government has raised the morale of all corp members.

The corp members are expected to receive their entitlement of N30,000 this month.
