Darek Chauvin convicted for killing George Floyd
Three members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 3018/2019, Batch C in Gombe State will have their National Service Year extended for various offenses.
The state Coordinator for NYSC, Gombe, Mr David Pwanidi Markson, stated this on Thursday during the Passing-Out-Parade (POP) of the 2018 Batch C, Stream I, corps members who served in the state.
According to Markson,
Out of the 1,153 corps members who completed their service year, eight got award, four got letter of commendation and three got service extension for various offences.
He further added that the corper Olabajo Damilola Racheal (GM/18C/1377) emerged as overall best corps member in Community Development Service (CDS).
Pertaining Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), Markson advised the fresh corpers that white collar jobs were scarce. He called on them to use the skills acquired through the SAED to start something to make ends meet.
The Federal Government and NYSC management have invested time and resources to train you on different skills, do not let it go to waste. We look forward to seeing great entrepreneurs and employers of labour from you soon, He said.
