Following the continuous killings in South Africa, Nigerian celebrities express their grieviances through social media platforms as the unacceptable acts of South Africans is on the increase.
Richard Mofe-Damijo, an icon in the entertainment industry tweeted:
My name is Richard Mofe-Damijo and I condemn the attack on foreigners, especially Nigerians in South Africa. I demand that the government stop pussyfooting and kick into a tangible, measurable action to protect our brothers in diaspora #saynotoxenophobia.

Not until then, the Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo tweeted, stating that all necessary actions will be taken for the protection of Nigerians everywhere in the world. He further stated:
we are currently in consultation with the South African government on the urgent need to put in place measures to end these acts of violence against our people.
